Manager

Nancy R. Snyder

Nancy joins the SunnyBrook family with a 28 year history in the healthcare industry, including: Hospice, Home Care, Public Health, Long Term Care, Hospital Inpatient, Mental Health and Assisted Living. She has a MS in Public Health Administration with specialization in Healthcare Management from Drake University. She holds licenses in Iowa for long term care, social work and addiction counseling.

Nancy lives outside Glidden with Kenny, her husband of 28 years. They have 3 children: Josh (27), Stacie (25), and Stephanie (23) and one awesome granddaughter, Kenya (5). Nancy enjoys reading, gardening, and hiking.

Nancy is excited about the opportunity of providing high quality services and amenities to all of the seniors in the Carroll area. Her expertise and passion make her a wonderful leader for the SunnyBrook of Carroll community.

Kathy EwoldtHealth Care Coordinator

Kathy Ewoldt

Kathy joins the team at SunnyBrook with nearly 30 years of healthcare experience. In the early years Kathy worked as a certified nurse aide and experienced first hand the art of bedside care. Then on to nursing with a license to practice first as an LPN, and shortly thereafter, earning her RN. Kathy has enjoyed her role in the various nursing avenues and is excited to be a part of the SunnyBrook community.

Kathy resides in Glidden with her husband Randy, and three children: Aaron (15), Anna (13), and Adam (12). The children attend Glidden Ralston School and are active in many “Wildcat” activities. The family has a cocker spaniel named Sam. They enjoy the red and gold of ISU, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Culinary Coordinator

Connie Hurst

Connie Hurst is a longtime resident of Carroll.  After graduating from Jefferson High School, she attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa where she received her Culinary Arts degree.  After graduation, she has worked in Olympic Hills country Club in Minnesota as Sous Chef before moving back to Iowa.  She continued her employment in culinary field with Jefferson School District and Court Street Pub in Carroll before she joined SunnyBrook team.

She is a proud mother of three children, Heather, Heidi, Cory and enjoys every kind of outdoor activities.

 

 

Deb GradeLife Enrichment Coordinator

Deb Grade

Deb joins the SunnyBrook community as their Life Enrichment Coordinator. Being in charge of all the resident activities, she is hoping to keep everyone busy with crafts, baking, games, cards, taking rides, special events, walks, exercising and yes! even the Wii. She is very excited to be a part of such a wonderful community. Deb is looking for a new career that would bring her different challenges, and believes she has found it here at SunnyBrook.

Deb is a resident of rural Glidden where she has lived with her husband Geno for 22 years. They have raised three wonderful daughters: Nicole (22), Amanda (20), and Stephanie (17), along with several llamas over the years. Previously she was employed by Glidden-Ralston School District for 11 years and loved every minute of being a cook for the schools. Deb is looking forward to what lies ahead here at SunnyBrook with the many lives that will be touched, including her own.

Pianos & Music at SunnyBrook of Carroll

PianoThe SunnyBrook piano program is the inspiration of SunnyBrook partner James Elliott who has subsequently developed and administered this program for the enjoyment of the residents and the local community.

At SunnyBrook of Carroll we have a 1994, Yamaha Model “DA1” baby grand piano. This fine instrument is available for residents, local piano teachers and students, as well as for use in a recital program by accomplished performers.
