Lisa Hanson joins our team at SunnyBrook of Mt. Pleasant with 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. With a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix, she has worked in long term care, skilled nursing, med-surg, telemetry, and school nursing.

A native of southeast Iowa, Lisa lives in New London with her husband Mike and their two children – Brandon, 11 and Bailey, 7. Also included in the family are a dog, four cats, a guinea pig, and two hamsters.

Lisa has always been passionate about caring for the elderly and genuinely enjoys spending time with them. She feels strongly that it is important for residents to maintain their independence and have the ability to make their own decisions in their daily lives.

Melissa Kruse
Life Enrichment Coordinator

Melissa is a fun-loving person who is perfect for her job as Activities Director. She brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to her activities with the residents. She is not afraid to try new ideas, is open to suggestions and works hard to fulfill the resident’s requests. Her cheerful, happy manner uplifts the residents’ spirits every day.

Melissa lives outside Houghton with her husband, Mick. She has two sons Mason & Max. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, shopping, and riding motorcycles.
