Sean Stewart

Sean joins the SunnyBrook family after a well diversified 17 year professional career in Human Services, Human Resources and Management. After graduating from Monmouth College, IL, with his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Sean began work in Human services providing direct care and then quickly progressing into Management/Administration roles. After working 14 years in Human Services, Sean returned to school and completed an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources, Training and Management systems.

Sean returns to the Human Service field bringing with him excellent skills in counseling, management, organizational operations leadership. Sean's passion for providing quality service and meeting the needs of others is well entrenched in his personality and he gains great satisfaction from helping others be happy, healthy and successful. Sean currently lives on a small acreage near Tipton, IA with his wife Jennifer, son Fletcher and daughter Livia. During his free time he enjoys working on his 1900's farm house, maintaining/landscaping the acreage and spending as much time with his family as possible.

Terrie Buster, RN

Terrie brings to SunnyBrook of Muscatine extensive expertise in senior care with over 20 years of experience in healthcare including medical/surgical care, hospice and long term care as Director of Nursing. Terrie is currently working on her Masters in Nursing and Health Care Administration. Her passion for quality of care for the senior while maintaining their independence in decision making and individuality makes her a valued member of our SunnyBrook of Muscatine family.

Terrie is from Muscatine, is married, and has four daughters and 5 grandchildren. Her goal is to deliver quality services that are above and beyond the expectations of assisted living.

Dominick DeLeon

SunnyBrook of Muscatine, IA welcomes Dominick DeLeon as the Kitchen Manager. Dominick grew up in Muscatine, and has experience in cooking with many styles of food. He left the Casino Restaurant to join the SunnyBrook Assisted Living and really enjoys working with residents. In his spare time he likes to be with his family.

Life Enrichment Coordinator

Rhonda Hintermeister

Rhonda Hintermeister is the Activity Coordinator for our Muscatine SunnyBrook community. She brings with her a variety of experience and education. She has worked in the clerical field for 15 years at the HON Company in Muscatine. In 1996, she received her Cosmetology Degree and has owned and operated her own salon in Muscatine for the past 12 years.

She has always found it rewarding to care for others and looks forward to spending time with the residents at SunnyBrook. Creativity has always been a spark for her and she enjoys sharing it with others.

She lives in Muscatine with her husband. They have two children and one granddaughter. In her spare time, she enjoys creative activities, reading, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

Pianos & Music at SunnyBrook of Muscatine

Piano

The SunnyBrook piano program is the inspiration of SunnyBrook partner James Elliott who has subsequently developed and administered this program for the enjoyment of the residents and the local community.

At SunnyBrook of Muscatine we have a 1909 Steinway & Sons, Model “O”, concert grand piano. This fine instrument is available for residents, local piano teachers and students, as well as for use in a recital program by accomplished performers.

The entry mural at SunnyBrook of Muscatine shows famed Muscatine melon produce, the clam-digger sculpture from the river-side park, buttons, celebrating early manufacturing in Muscatine and, the bridge on the river.
