SunnyBrook believes that music, art, and cultural events should be an integral part of life in our communities. This commitment is reflected in building designs and furnishings as well as the lively activities calendar. Performances, exhibitions, events and field trips are available to all residents.

The SunnyBrook piano program is the inspiration of SunnyBrook partner James Elliott who has subsequently developed and administered this program for the enjoyment of the residents and the local community.

A high quality, fully restored piano is a feature of the SunnyBrook community. These fine instruments are available for residents, local piano teachers and students, as well as for use in a recital program by accomplished performers.

Locally-Themed Art at SunnyBrook

Harri and Catherine Aalto moved to the USA from Toronto, Canada and have lived and worked as artists in Fairfield, Iowa for 21 years. Harri is the Creative Director for Creative Edge Master Shop and Catherine is a senior designer for the firm.

They are delighted to be involved in the locally-themed art that appears in the SunnyBrook Communities. As a result of research into the many aspects of Iowa towns, they have found great inspiration for marble entry murals and present day and historical photographs.
